About Chicago

Formed in Chicago, IL in 1967, Chicago is the first American band to chart albums in Billboard’s Pop Top 40 in six consecutive decades, ranking as the highest charting American band in Billboard’s Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists. In their 56 years of existence, Chicago have sold over 100 million records, making them one of the best selling music groups of all time. This “rock and roll band with horns” found success with their original sound of pop and rock fusion, including hits “Make Me Smile,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday In The Park,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” and so many more.  To date, the band has had 21 Top 10 singles, 5 consecutive Number One albums, 11 Number One singles and 5 Gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 39 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 48 gold and platinum awards. Chicago’s lifetime achievements include two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and an induction of its original members into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Additionally, their first record (a double album) was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame, and original band members Robert Lamm and Jimmy Pankow were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Chicago continue to be true ambassadors for their beloved hometown, carrying the city’s name with pride and dignity around the world.

Please note: guests are not allowed to bring alcohol to Live Nation events and the items listed below are subject to change or vary on show day.

Permitted Items

  • ONLY small clutches, wristlets, or fanny packs no bigger than 6”x 9” OR clear plastic bags NO BIGGER than 12″x6″x12” will be allowed inside.
  • Lawn Chairs – For the safety and convenience of all our guests, only collapsible lawn/camping chairs will be permitted with the height of the chair not to exceed 43” when collapsed. Canopies, footrests, side tables, and other attachments are prohibited. This policy will be strictly enforced. Chairs not meeting these specifications will not be allowed entry. Low profile/beach chairs may be rented upon entering the facility adjacent to the main merchandise tent or in advance by clicking here, subject to availability. If you have alternative seating needs, or accessible seating needs, please contact the Box Office at 518-584-9330 or boxoffice@spac.org. 
  • Cameras – nonprofessional only, no detachable lenses
  • Binoculars
  • Umbrellas (personal-sized, no pointed ends)
  • Food – in a clear, 1-gallon zip-lock bag
  • Water – an empty water bottle OR up to 1 gallon of water in a factory sealed bottle is permitted.
  • Small blankets
  • Strollers (if used to transport a child). Due to the size of the crowds, we advise against bringing strollers and it will be difficult to navigate.
  • Medicine / Prescriptions
  • Breast pumps / milk coolers

All Live Nation ground rules are subject to change. By entering the SPAC grounds, guests agree to abide by the rules listed above. Management reserves the right to modify these rules or can request to see the contents of any belongings brought on property at their discretion. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the utmost levels of safety and convenience for our guests and staff.

Bag Policy

To reduce staff contact with guest belongings, we have implemented the following bag policy:

We will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutches, wristlets, or fanny packs that are not clear (6”x 9”).

No other bags of any type will be allowed.

Cashless Payment

All points of sale will only accept credit and debit.

For fans who wish to use cash, or do not have a credit or debit card, there is a Cash to Card kiosk in the main concession plaza to exchange cash for card, dollar for dollar, without any service fees.

 

Mobile Ticketing

Your Phone Is Your Ticket!

All events will be Mobile Entry. That means your mobile device will be used to gain access to the event. Tickets will not be emailed or available for print (for previously scheduled shows where you selected print at home or mail, your tickets will be honored accordingly).

Phone troubles? Visit the box office on event day for assistance. Be prepared to show your ID.

OPTION 1: Add tickets to your mobile wallet by downloading the Live Nation App

– Download the Live Nation App
– Click My Tickets and select your upcoming show.
– Add the ticket(s) to your phone’s wallet and you’re done!
– Present your mobile ticket(s) at entry

OPTION 2: Add tickets to your mobile wallet by visiting Live Nation on your mobile browser

– On your mobile phone, visit livenation.com in your web browser and select My Tickets.
– Sign in and select your desired order.
– Add the ticket(s) to your phone’s wallet and you’re done!
– Present your mobile ticket(s) at entry.

Additional Tips

Purchase tickets for a group? Arriving separately? Transfer tickets directly to friends and family using the Live Nation App. To expedite entry, we recommend doing this prior to arriving at the event.

– Using the Live Nation App or your phone’s web browser, sign into your account.

– Select the desired order and tap Transfer Tickets (event eligibility may vary).

– Select the ticket you’d like to transfer. Add the recipient’s information and send. The recipient will receive an email with the ticket.

Due to large crowds and high traffic, be sure to leave early and give yourself plenty of time at the venue. Increase your phone screen brightness to assist with scanning. Lastly, make sure you have a fully charged battery!
