Development Internship

 

 

Position Summary

40 hours, paid internship. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Development department: support and coordinate sponsor activities and special events; communicate with constituents and partners; write letters upon request; perform research on and develop partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors, and individual donors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with corporate sponsor activation at events.
  • Support Development Team with prospect and donor research.
  • On a daily basis, running lists of donors and members attending that evening’s or afternoon’s performance to ensure good cultivation and stewardship.
  • Welcoming Patron level+ members to the Patrons’ Terrace & check membership cards to support and encourage this exclusive high level member benefit.
  • Assist with coordination of donor events.
  • Additional Member and Donor benefit fulfillment, as needed.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student with an interest in development, fundraising, or arts administration.
  • Students with prior experience and/or interest in the arts are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented and complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills, reliable transportation, can-do attitude, ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Prior experience in customer service setting is a plus.
