Join us for a bourbon-forward culinary experience with James Beard Award Winner Chef Edward Lee. Enjoy pourings by First Fill Spirits, dishes from Lee’s cookbook Bourbon Land and conversation lead by WAMC’s Joe Donahue.

BOURBON LAND AT A GLANCE:

Bourbon tastings, specialty cocktail and appetizers
Wine beer and nonalcoholic refreshments will also he served

Dishes inspired by the cookbook including Braised Beef Shanks
in Bourbon Sauce and Roasted Sweet Potato with Bourbon Miso
Butter, served family-style at communal tables

7:15PM
Conversation with Chef Edward Lee and WAMC’s Joe Donahue, discussing the iconic Kentucky spirit, its history, tips on cooking with bourbon, and how to taste the spirit like a professional

8PM
Book signing and dessert featuring Bourbon and Butterscotch Pudding

Tickets are $130 per person.

Seating is at communal tables and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Menu subject to change slightly due to market availability.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Bourbon Land and have it signed by the author.

Edward Lee is the author of Bourbon Land, Smoke & Pickles and Buttermilk Graffiti; chef/owner of 610 Magnolia in Louisville, Kentucky; and culinary director of Succotash in National Harbor, Maryland, and Penn Quarter, Washington, DC. He earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the acclaimed TV series The Mind of a Chef. He is also co-founder, with Lindsey Ofcacek, of the non-profit LEE Initiative which is dedicated to finding innovative and impactful solutions to the need for more diversity, equity, sustainability and compassion in the restaurant industry. He lives in Louisville and Washington, DC.
