Musical Mosaics

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

Sunday • Jun 23, 2024 • 3:00pm

Join CMS musicians for two string quintets—one exemplifying Mozart’s elegance, the other Brahms’s lyricism. Also on the program are Dvořák’s miniatures for the unusual combination of two violins and viola, and selections from an early-career song cycle that he later arranged for string quartet, as well as Puccini’s I Crisantemi (The Chrysanthemums), written in memory of a lost friend.

Program

Dvořák Drobnosti (Miniatures) for Two Violins and Viola, Op. 75a (1887)
Puccini Crisantemi for String Quartet (1890)
