Arts Discovery After-School Program
This program offers a fun and creative after-school experience for students in grades 2-5. Children will engage in a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to movement and performance, with options to explore different classes. The program is inclusive and supports personal growth, making it eligible for OPWDD Self-Direction funding.
Registration varies depending on your child’s school. If your child attends an elementary school within the Saratoga Springs City School District, it’s recommended to register through BOCES, as transportation from the school will be provided. If your child is not in a SSCSD elementary school, you can register directly here, but you will need to arrange your own transportation.

Elective Class Choices
Puppet Performance Lab
In this fun and exciting new class, students will craft their own puppets out of everyday objects. Students will play a variety of theatre and improv games to create unique puppet characters and use them to tell stories.
Arts Around the World
Take a trip across the continents every week in SOTA’s newest course – Arts Around the World! Each class, we will ‘visit’ new nations through cultural activities, songs, dances, and performances. With regular visits from diverse local artists, students will receive firsthand knowledge and understandings of cultural significance and traditions while developing a greater appreciation of the arts and our world.
Musical Theatre Workshop
Do you love to perform on a stage, tell stories, or write songs? Do you want to get involved in theatre but unsure where to begin? This is the class for you. In this course, students will work with teaching artists to create and perform an original piece of musical theatre. Students will collaborate to write dialogue and lyrics, develop characters, and bring their original story to life in front of an audience at the end of the semester.
