ARTS AND RECREATION SUMMER CAMP (HALF-DAY) children entering grades 3-8 from participating youth-serving organizations
Dates: July 14 – August 1, 2025
Days & Times: Monday-Friday, 9am-1:30pm
FREE to children entering grades 3-8 from participating youth-serving organizations.
The SPAC School of the Arts (SOTA) and NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation are teaming up to offer a 3-week, half-day summer program for children entering grades 3-8 that will provide highly interactive arts education classes & fun-filled recreational trips.
Classes at SOTA on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will introduce a variety of art forms, including acting, improvisational theatre, popular dance styles, group ukulele, puppetry & visual art.
Wednesday excursions to various local sites will include recreational activities such as wildlife walks, guided nature activities, and hands-on environmental science lessons.
Transportation Provided: Participants will be picked up by bus and transported to the SPAC School of the Arts (99 South Broadway). Participants will return by bus between 1:45-2:45pm each day, depending on proximity of drop-off location.
Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, T-shirts, and Water Bottles Provided: Lunch & morning snacks will be provided every day. T-shirts & water bottles will be provided at the start of the program.
FREE to children entering grades 3-8 from participating youth-serving organizations.
