What to Expect

I have never taken classes before. Is it ok that I’m a beginner?

Yes, welcome! We’re so excited that you want to explore the arts with us. Some students enroll to continue their arts education, and many are brand new to the process. All introductory classes are open to all skill levels.

What should I wear?

  • Shoes should be taken off before entering the studios. Socks and slippers are allowed.
  • Traditional dance wear is not required for dance classes unless otherwise specified by the class instructor.
  • Clothing for all classes should be as non-restrictive as possible to allow students to move freely.
  • Tap shoes are required for all tap classes. Please let us know if you need assistance finding or purchasing a pair of shoes.

Can I try out a class before I commit to a full semester?

Yes! We encourage you to schedule a trial class by contacting us within at least 48 hours in advance. You may sign up for one complementary class during the first three weeks of a term.

What can I expect from my class?

Our mission is to guide and empower students through artistic discovery and arts education in an inclusive and joyful environment. Our classes favor the creative process rather than a final recital or performance.

Do I need to provide my own instrument?

Ukulele students may borrow one of our ukuleles for use in class and at home for the duration of the course. An instrument lending agreement must be filled out before the instrument is taken home.

Piano students will use a keyboard for class. No keyboards will be provided for at home practice.

Do you offer financial assistance?

We are committed to making the arts accessible to everyone. Need-based scholarships are available each semester. Please submit your application here.
