Ballet Barre & Balance will begin with forty-five minutes of classical ballet technique holding onto a sturdy high back chair, barre, or counter. The final fifteen minutes will be a Standing Center segment to improve balance and link barre exercises together to create simple movement patterns. The class will build sequentially to enhance participants’ understanding of the mechanics of ballet vocabulary. Ballet or fitness attire and ballet slippers are recommended plus room to move forward/back and side/side for center work. Online participants will receive a weekly recording of the class.
This class is open to everyone and supports personal goals, making it eligible for OPWDD Self-Direction funding.
