Notes about the Music

  • Some pieces are in 2, 3, 4, and 6 parts. Parts have been divided into the packets above. For example, Irish Tune by Grainger has 6 parts for trumpet. Parts 1-3 have been included in the Trumpet 1 packet and parts 4-6 have been included in the Trumpet 2 packet. If possible, be prepared to play ALL parts in your assigned packet.
  • Participants are not required to play all pieces and may listen in their seats while more difficult pieces are being played.
  • Euphoniums can choose any trombone part if there is no Euphonium part.
  • Only Bb Trumpet is needed. Both Bb and C Trumpet parts are provided for Mendelssohn. Players can choose either instrument. The Cornet part in Sibelius can be played on Trumpet.
