This dance sampler has a two-fold mission: (1) to educate participants about the “creators of dance for social change” from the 1930’s to current contemporary, modern, and post-modern dancers/choreographers; and (2) to allow participants to experience these different movement styles firsthand. The format includes a 15-minute video “tour” of each artist’s life and legacy followed by a 60-minute exploratory class led by master teachers from the Capital Region and SPAC School of the Arts. No experience necessary.
No classes on February 18 or April 7
This class is open to everyone and supports personal goals, making it eligible for OPWDD Self-Direction funding.
