Featuring Empire State Youth Orchestra, Capital District Youth Chorale, Capital District Youth Pipe Band, ESDC Egg Kids, Northeast Ballet Company, Schenectady HS Dance Connection, and the School of the Arts at the National Museum of Dance
A FREE EVENT* for the community, the Festival of Young Artists will celebrate the collaborative creativity of more than 500 of the Capital Region’s brightest young dancers, musicians, singers, poets, and visual artists.
Kicking off at 2:00 p.m. SPAC’s grounds will be transformed into a festive celebration with student pop-up performances, fine art displays, food stands, poetry slams, immersive workshops, photo booths, and free Stewart’s ice cream!
At 4:30pm, the festival will culminate with hundreds of young artists gathering together to present a one-hour concert on SPAC’s main stage. This concert will feature orchestras, choirs, dance companies, visual artists, and poets collaborating together to create large-scale performances. SPAC’s 2020 Festival of Young Artists is part of the venue’s ongoing commitment to foster artistic collaboration and provide free access to enriching arts programs.
