Lake George Opera at Saratoga shines in 2009

Lake George Opera at Saratoga will celebrate its 48th season of producing professional opera in 2009, with fully-staged productions of Madama Butterfly by Puccini and Don Pasquale by Donizetti.

The 2009 LGOpera at Saratoga Season will also feature the developmental premiere of Eleanor Roosevelt by American composer Persis Parshall Vehar.

All Opera performances take place at the Spa Little Theater.

The 2009 Saratoga Opera Ball takes place on July 1st at the Gideon Putnam Hotel and features legendary bandleader Peter Duchin.
