Internships

Saratoga Performing Arts Center offers Professional Internship opportunities to undergraduate students interested in marketing, management and the arts. SPAC is a non-profit arts organization that is run by a small annual staff of 12 and a larger seasonal staff of 400. Interns work directly for the Marketing Department, whose primary goal is to attract a larger audience to SPACs classical performances.

WHO WE LOOK FOR

SPAC is looking for hard working, highly motivated and energetic students interested in the tourism and arts industries. We seek individuals with creative ideas who work well both independently and in groups. It is crucial that interns are able to write clearly and concisely, multi-task and pay attention to detail.

WHAT TO EXPECT

All interns, regardless of their season, will be directly involved in the following:

" Communicating with customers face-to-face, over the phone and via e-mail

" Writing letters, press-releases, and program descriptions

" Compiling daily newspaper clippings relevant to SPAC and our partners

" Cultivating and maintaining partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors and individual donors

Summer Internships

Summer Interns are involved in the following:

Distribution of marketing materials such as fliers and brochures
Execution of promotional nights for the Ballet and Orchestra Seasons. For example, interns coordinate pre-performance special events on the lawn such as face painting, music performances and celebrity meet-and-greets.

Fall Internships

Full Time/Part Time

Unpaid, For Credit

Fall Interns are involved in the following:

Increasing membership and group sales
Developing marketing strategies for the upcoming season

Spring Internships

Full Time/Part Time

Spring Interns are involved in the following:

Detailed planning of promotional nights
Securing donations for various special events
